3 Steps to Take Charge of Your Day

3 Steps to Take Charge of Your Day

Who Is Controlling Your Day?

Do you start your day figuring out what needs to be done and in what order, or did you prepare the night before, so that you can immediately start to get things moving?

The first way is reactive, the second proactive. Being proactive helps you stay calm and become ultra productive.

You don’t want to wake up and then scramble madly figuring out what you should be doing—it’s way too late by then. Chances are the rest of the world will have decided what it wants you to do, and it will control your day instead of you controlling your day.

Follow these 3 simple steps and start a new habit that will turn into a routine, you cannot live without.

3 Steps to Put You In Charge

By following these 3 steps you will be in charge and in the driver’s seat.

  1. Just before you shut down for the day, take 10 minutes to review your day, mark off what you accomplished and evaluate what did not get done and why and if it still needs to be done.
  2. Check your agenda for the coming day and reorganize your tasks and priorities.
Now you can go to sleep without having to worry about what you have to do tomorrow.
  3. Prepare also all non work related things now: the clothes you are going to wear, your briefcase or purse, keys and everything else you need ready to go.
If you bring a lunch to work, prepare it now.
Figure out what you want for breakfast and set your coffee maker’s timer, so that when you get up the coffee is ready.

Do you struggle with being proactive?  Let’s get started,
I would love to help you.
